Yev Muchnik is a corporate and securities attorney, with a focus on impact ventures. She has carved out a successful distributed legal services practice counseling technology and startup companies in various stages of their life cycles, from formation to funding.
Yev started her legal career over a decade ago with the international law firm of Squire Patton Boggs, following which she joined a publicly traded technology company as its General Counsel and then moved into the role of General Counsel at JetSmarter, a private aviation tech startup company.
Yev is an attorney-entrepreneur and is the founder of ESQLegal, which set out to disrupt the traditional legal services model, built on the pillars of distributed legal services and access to justice. She is currently an advisor and outside General Counsel to Citizn Company, a legal tech startup using AI and blockchain to shift corporate social responsibility and provide transparency into consumer contracts, and a venture partner for Vive Capital’s Denver region.
She acts as legal advisor to blockchain technology companies such as Opolis, Playpal, the Divi Project, Blackbox AI, amongst others. As a board member of Global Women in Blockchain, Yev is passionate about promoting diversity in the blockchain community. Yev is an authority on current legal and regulatory issues in blockchain and digital currency and has been invited to speak at various conferences on governance, smart contracts, arbitration and regulatory matters.
