Sid Newby serves as a Partner and Chief Technology Officer of Platinum Intelligent Data Solutions, a Litigation Support services consultancy based in Dallas, Texas.
In this role, he oversees all aspects of information technology, information security, data and analytics for some of the world’s largest corporations in regard to data mapping, compliance, investigations and legal facilitation. Sid also oversees R&D initiatives, Platinum’s professional services division, marketing and offering alignment.
Prior to joining Platinum IDS, Sid served as a Litigation Support Manager of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld, as well as an owner of Universal, a Litigation Support organization based in Phoenix, Arizona before it was acquired in 2002.
As the project owner and one of the inventors of Cullable, Sid is responsible for managing the development initiative, as well as building long term agreements with business partners like Google, presenting highly durable, scalable and innovative eDiscovery data processing solutions to the legal and information governance communities.
Sid is an agent of change in the legal industry, unsatisfied with the traditional stack utilized in typical eDiscovery workflows. An avid advocate for big data and service based utility computing disciplines, Sid has spoken at several conferences on the subject including Gartner’s big data and analytics summit in 2017.
