Sabina Jausovec-Salinas, CIPP/US is a legal specialist for Rackspace Hosting, a service leader in cloud computing, headquartered in San Antonio, TX. In 2008, she first joined the Rackspace family out of the London, England office, but transferred to the US office shortly after.
In her role, she focuses on Rackspace’s global data privacy matters, including developing and implementing privacy policies, Safe Harbor certification, providing subject matter expertise to Rackspace’s International and US legal teams, training employees on privacy related matters, supporting Rackspace’s customer and supplier contracting relating to privacy and data protection concerns. In her role, Mrs. Salinas also focuses on marketing, advertising, trademarks, and copyright matters.
Mrs. Salinas is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and was Rackspace’s representative to the Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (Cloud2), developed by the tech trade association, TechAmerica.
Sabina Jausovec-Salinas earned her law degree from the School of Law at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, which included the Erasmus program at the University of Rotterdam, Netherlands in her final year. Mrs. Salinas received a M.A. in European Integration, first class honor, from the University of Limerick, Ireland. Currently, she is a candidate for an LL.M. degree in European Economic Law at the School of Law at the University of Maribor, Slovenia; and, a candidate for an LL.M. degree in American Legal studies at St. Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio, Texas.
