Patrick is a trial lawyer who litigates and tries high-stakes IP cases, and particularly cases involving patent infringement and licensing disputes. With respect to patent enforcement, Patrick has helped three separate inventor-led clients each achieve significant licensing revenue. He has also litigated cases on both sides of the “v” in significant competitor-versus-competitor patent disputes. In addition to his IP practice, Patrick is active both in professional organizations and his community. He chairs the Robins Kaplan Pro Bono Committee to help those who don’t have access to the justice system. The American Lawyer, National Law Journal, and Law360 have all recently recognized the Robins Kaplan pro bono program as one of the best in the nation. Patrick has been active with the Sedona Conference since 2008, and he is currently a member of the Steering Committee for The Sedona Conference Working Group 9 on Patent Damages and Remedies (WG9) and Working Group 10 on Patent Litigation Best Practices (WG10).
