John Rosenthal is a litigation partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office who represents clients around the globe in an array of complex antitrust and litigation matters. Mr. Rosenthal is also the chair of the firm's eDiscovery & Information Management Practice Group.
Mr. Rosenthal is one of the most experienced practitioners in the United States in the area of electronic discovery and risk reduction from electronic discovery. With this background, he counsels a wide variety of companies on record retention programs, compliance with electronic discovery, and the implementation of programs to reduce risk associated with the generation and retention of electronic records and privacy.
Mr. Rosenthal is recognized by Chambers USA as a noted expert in e-discovery. Mr. Rosenthal is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association’s e-discovery committee He is a participant in Working Groups 1 and 6 of the Sedona Conference on Best Practices for Electronic Discovery and Records Management. Mr. Rosenthal also is an advisory board member of the Georgetown University Law Center Continuing Legal Education E-Discovery Institute, where he is also on the faculty to the Institute and Academy programs. He has served as advisory board member to various e-discovery companies, including Lexis-Nexis, Electronic Evidence, Inc. and Guidance Software. Mr. Rosenthal is also a Cabinet Member to the annual Master Conference on e-dscovery.
