Kim is a Senior Legal Specialist in the Intellectual Property Litigation Department at Merck & Co., Inc. in New Jersey. She has over 10 years’ experience in IP Litigation and extensive hands on experience managing discovery requests, document reviews and productions for major Hatch-Waxman litigations.
While handling Merck’s high profile cases, she works closely with various teams of project managers, outside counsels, e-discovery vendors, and technical service professionals who provide support to her large scale ANDA suits and litigations internationally and domestically. She takes on a supervisory role to her cases by developing teams that are detailed oriented and highly values the implementation of thorough quality control, efficiency and cost savings.
Kim has also taken on a consultative approach with various acquisitions to ensure all IP is preserved, maintained and integrated into the universal Merck environment. She has worked with numerous departments to establish SOP’s to comply with company issued legal holds, the preservation of ESI and non-ESI data corpuses.
Kim earned her bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University with high honors and her paralegal degree from Berkeley College. Kim also serves on the Advisory Board for the Litigation and E-Discovery Paralegal Studies program at Bryan University. She is also actively involved in Merck’s pro-bono programs covering fields such as bankruptcy, UVisa applications, StreetLaw and Veterans’ services to name a few.
