A former litigation paralegal, Marla has worked within the legal space in legal publishing, court reporting, court filings, e-discovery, legal technology, including eDiscovery, and litigation support for the last two decades. She is a MCLE speaker and panelist on many topics and known for her fun, interactive educational seminars.  Marla loves technology, organizing, putting the puzzle together, finding the solution, educating, and helping people. 

Though out her years in the industry, she noticed that small firms did not have the advantage of the medium and large firms experience in technology, including eDiscovery, legal operations, marketing, and client relations. Marla formed Connect Mohr Legal Consultants to help these firms in these areas.  Educating people on eDiscovery and best practices has become her top priority.  With that, she joined ACEDS as a Manager, Client Engagement to help those reach their educational goals.

Ms. Mohr is very active in many legal associations thought out Southern California as either a board or committee member.  She was the Founding President of the ACEDS Orange County chapter and is now the Immediate Past-President and serves on the ACEDS IDEAA committee.  Marla was on the founding board of directors for Women in eDiscovery (WiE), Orange County, serving as the Membership director for 2 years. While still active in WiE Orange County, she is also on the WiE San Diego Social Committee.  Marla is also a Director for The Masters Conference, a leading boutique educational forum that hosts conferences around the world.  In addition, she also on the board of directors for her high school alumni association to help raise money for the school and her class reunion committee.

Marla is a CEDS (Certified eDiscovery Specialist) professional and obtained her eDiscovery Executive Certificate (eDEx).  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Pacific and her paralegal certification from the University of California – Irvine. A native of San Diego, she is an avid San Diego sports fan, event planner, reader, and outdoor enthusiast.   She spends a lot of her free time with her English Springer Spaniel, Jazmin.
