Let us put our two decades of experience to work for you. Connect Mohr Legal Consultants was founded by Marla Mohr, a former Litigation Paralegal with extensive expertise as a consultant to law firms in e-Discovery (ESI), legal publishing, court reporting, court filings, litigation support and business development. Marla identified many shortcomings in vendor management, marketing/business development and client relations within the solo and small firms. She quickly realized that some firms do not have the time, resources or knowledge to fill these critical voids and began to consult with a small group of firms who quickly benefited from her expertise. Her early successes led her to form Connect Mohr Legal Consultants.
As we know, at the end of 2021, or sooner, LIBOR will cease to exist. The impacts across the financial industry cannot be minimized. One of the biggest pain points banks are anticipating is within contract management. Specifically, the ability to locate, digitize, scope, and amend thousands of agreements. While this process is notoriously laborious, the ability to implement a sound methodology can improve efficiency and transparency. In this session, we will detail a six-phased approach, supported by traditional eDiscovery tools and ideologies, that has been effectively delivered on similar remediation programs such as Variation Margin, Initial Margin, BREXIT, QFC Stay, etc.. The six phases include:
CCPA and Privacy
Presentation dealing with the migration and transition of where critical data lives in civil and criminal investigations and associated forensic collections. Mobile devices have replaced computers as the collection target of choice in many investigations, disputes and audits. We will explore the residency and redundancy of mobile device data and detail the options available for collection, extraction and review of mobile device based content. We will also present a workshop session on how forensic investigators extract data from iOS and Android based devices and what reporting options exist post the collection.
Do ESI Protocols bring much-needed order to chaos, or are they traps for the unwary? Join the discussion as we consider ESI Protocols from the perspectives of corporation and law firms. We’ll discuss if and when a matter merits a protocol, what subjects to cover in the protocol, why it’s critical to (really) understand every specification in the protocol, and how a proper protocol helps shapes workflow and technical considerations.
Join Ranji Ragbeer from Tendant and Richard Clark from ESI Analyst present a workshop on BYOD policies surrounding smartphones through investigations. The need to build better policies around BYOD to protect company data continues to rise. The same need grows with the analysis of smartphone data.
During our Lunch we run our FAST Forum program. These are 15min presentations and we also allow time for discussion
Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the legal profession as it has done in finance, entertainment, healthcare, and manufacturing and this has some lawyers and technologists worried. There is an emerging approach to machine learning and AI that focused on augmenting and amplifying human intelligence rather than replacing it. Leveraging an augmented intelligence model powered by things like advanced analytics, continual active learning (CAL) and machine translation, lawyers can supercharge their decision making and reduce time to insight. Today's AI technology is perfect for repetitive tasks that require human intelligence where an increase in productivity and decrease in errors and cost are the goals, document review is an ideal candidate for the application of AI technology and its benefits. Leveraging augmented intelligence in ediscovery can find evidence faster, increase efficiency, and decrease errors while reducing the overall cost exponentially.

As with any business, law firms must periodically invest in improving technology capabilities and strengthening information security. These days, eDiscovery also plays an important part in conducting investigations to meet compliance, due diligence or regulatory enforcement requirements. In this session, the panelists will share experiences and provide examples of the use of eDiscovery technology and best practices to meet investigative objectives.
