Navigating our Options with International Data Protection, Safe Harbor and Data Privacy

In recent ears mush discussion has occurred about how one can bring ESI from Europe and other foreign countries to the US for US based litigation.  The rules and recommendations of “experts” in the field change daily leaving practioners at a lost for what rules they should be following.  Data privacy concerns are at a fever pitch in Europe and this sentiment has leaked into the US as well.  This esteemed panel will discuss the reality of tools that are currently available, namely the US Safe Harbor protocol, the EU Data Protection directive and the often misunderstood Hague convention.  The goal of the panel is to set the record straight on how these tools really work and also take a glimpse into the future about how they may change to answer the growing concerns around data privacy.
