DC Bar

Since its creation by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in 1972, the D.C. Bar has sought to represent the faces of those who make up the Washington metropolitan area legal scene, as well as provide the structure needed to oversee and maintain the profession’s ethical standards and Rules of Professional Conduct.

Today the D.C. Bar is the second largest unified bar association in the United States. The organization’s mission is to enhance access to justice, improve the legal system, and empower lawyers to achieve excellence.
