Zelda Owens is Chair of The Cabient of The Masters Conference. She has been involved with Masters shortly after its inception in 2008, and has been indstrumental in its growth in fostering the community of thought leaders and experts.
After a successful career providing staffing and legal services to Fortune 500 companies and their outside counsel, Zelda Owens joined Glenmont Group as Director of Attorney Placements. She is called upon by GCs and Executive Management of global companies, organizations and law firms to find the perfect talent to add to their legal teams. She has worked in senior management roles at a number of national and global organizations, placing and working with attorneys in various practice areas, namely in the emerging fields of Privacy, Technology, eDiscovery, Information Management and Governance, and Outsourcing.
In addition to being Chair of The Cabinet of The Masters COnference, Zelda is also Director of Women in eDiscovery's NYC Chapter. She has also held board positions at The Chapin School (Co-Chair of the Technology and Diversity Committees) and Harlem Commonwealth Counsel (Vice Chair).
An entrepreneur at heart, Zelda was awarded the “40 Under Forty” business awarded by The Network Journal, an international business publication.
Zelda is a sought-after speaker on careers for attorney audiences such as the NYS Bar Association, NYC Bar Association, Corporate Counsel Women of Color, and Pace Law School, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence Magazine, and other publications.
A Chapin and Barnard alum, Zelda is passionate about women’s and diversity issues, particularly in the areas of law, technology and business development. She’s a mom of 3 daughters, is a 3rd generation pit master, former a capella singer, athlete, avid networker, career counselor and as many people say, “A great person to know."
