Patrick works with our lawyers and business professionals to use technology and information resources to fully exploit the firm’s collective experience in terms of our lawyer expertise, clients, business relationships, legal work and work product in how we serve our client.
As Chief Information Officer, Patrick reports directly to the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for providing leadership to the firm’s Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Library & Information Resources and Practices Support & Docketing services. Together these information directorates combine their know-how to assist the firm in quickly and effectively leveraging the information resources of the firm to accelerate the integration and utilization of our lawyer talent, achieve greater efficiency and responsiveness in legal services performed for clients, more effectively manage client matters and practices and to enhance our business development resources.
Before joining McKenna Long & Aldridge, Patrick was Chief Information Officer at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. At Orrick, Patrick was responsible for creating new IT-enabled practice support services, often in collaboration with business partner organizations. Prior to working at Orrick, he was a vice president at EDS (now HP Technology and Enterprise Services). At EDS, Patrick was responsible for developing and delivering IT services and business transformation consulting to U.S., European and Russian governments and companies, with a focus on health care, insurance and financial services sectors.
Patrick is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Affairs. In addition to participating in various technology industry advisory boards, Patrick actively supports the Washington DC School for ARTS in Learning (a public charter school), and the Helping And Loving Orphans organization.
