A seasoned litigator, Neil’s broad practice has included high-profile defamation and First Amendment cases, class actions and antitrust disputes, and fraud and conspiracy claims, among many other types of commercial matters. He has extensive experience litigating employment-related matters including discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, and trade secret misappropriation. Neil has also served as counsel to the news media in actions to enforce the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
Neil regularly advises his firm’s clients on the constantly evolving legal ramifications of social media on their businesses, including with respect to employment practices and online privacy matters, and he has designed various policies to meet their particular needs. Neil’s article, entitled "Pick a Court, Any Court: Forum Shopping Defamation Claims in the Internet Age," was published in the Journal of Internet Law. (14 No. 12 J.
