Mr. Poplawski is an e-Discovery attorney in the Chicago office. He concentrates his practice on regulatory investigations, white-collar criminal defense, securities litigation, and complex commercial litigation. He has worked on firm teams representing clients in grand jury and/or regulatory investigations involving allegations of RICO, mail fraud, wire fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, mutual fund market timing, and bribery.
Mr. Poplawski has also worked on firm teams representing clients in litigation involving allegations of securities fraud, real estate transaction fraud, price fixing, and false claims. His client teams include Caremark, Grant Thornton LLP, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Morningstar, Travelers Companies Inc., and Verizon.
Mr. Poplawski has been a member of the firm’s eDiscovery & Information Management Practice Group since 2008. He focuses on providing electronic discovery risk reduction and cost control advice to case teams. He has provided case team support for electronic discovery issues involving preservation, collection, data culling, and employee privacy. Mr. Poplawski is a contributor to the firm’s eDiscovery Advantage newsletter.
Mr. Poplawski received a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Augustana College in 2000. He received a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2004, where he was publications editor of the Business and Commercial Law Journal.
