Washington, D.C., September 14, 2011 - The Masters Conference, an advanced legal educational experience, today announced that John O’Tuel, Assistant General Counsel of GlaxoSmithKline, will be a keynote speaker at its October conference. The theme for Masters Conference 2011 is “Security, Privacy and Compliance within Corporate Litigation,” and it will be held October 3-5 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. O’Tuel will speak on Tuesday, October 4th on “Preservation and e-Discovery Reform: Its Importance for the U.S. Judicial System and Beneficial Implications for Privacy Concerns”.

O’Tuel works in the Dispute Resolution & Prevention group at GlaxoSmithKline. As Assistant General Counsel, he manages a variety of litigation including antitrust matters, product liability cases and a diverse collection of commercial litigation. He is involved with litigation and IT processes with a focus on e-discovery. O’Tuel also works on privilege coordination issues, pro bono projects, and civil justice reform efforts. Before joining GlaxoSmithKline, he practiced at the law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice in Raleigh, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of North Carolina and his law degree from Wake Forest University.
