THE MASTERS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES MAGISTRATE JUDGE JOHN M. FACCIOLA AS DAY TWO KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Well-respected expert in the legal industry to discuss Rule 702 in the resolution of e-discovery disputes and how to control and reduce the costs of e-discovery
ORLANDO - September 18, 2008 — The Masters Conference, an educational conference staffed with well-respected and knowledgeable experts in the legal profession, announces that Magistrate Judge John M. Facciola will be the keynote speaker on day two of the annual conference. This year’s event, "Viewing E-Discovery Through the Corporate Veil" will be held October 16th and 17th, 2008, at the Ronald Reagan Building located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C.
Magistrate Judge Facciola will discuss the use of Rule 702, which talks about the admissibility of expert or opinion in the resolution of e-discovery disputes. He will speak about the costs involved in searching, the technical expertise required and how courts will approach disputes concerning the search that was done or is contemplated. He also will cover other issues in a broader discussion of the impact of the costs of e-discovery upon the judicial process and manners and means to reduce those costs.
