Robert Childress is recognized as one of the 20 most influential people in the legal software industry. Throughout the years, he has held senior positions with a number of key technology corporations including LexisNexis, Thomson & Thomson, Elsevier Science, CXA, Inc., McGrawHill, Shepards and most recently Wave Software. While at LexisNexis, Childress managed product design and software sales for legal management software products for their government and legal markets.
As the Founder and CEO of The Masters Conference, Childress has been the catalyst for the conference's tremendous growth, developing it into one of the premiere legal events in the industry. Among his many achievements, Childress is also the Chairman of the Board for a Foreign Language Immersion school and the co-founder of a charity golf event for lawyers. He counts the 2004/2005 National Register Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals and the 2005 Small Businessman of the Year among his awards. Currently, Childress resides in Florida with his children and wife, Shawnna Childress, who is also involved in the eDiscovery industry and is recognized as a co-founder of Women in eDiscovery, a nonprofit group with 6,600 plus active members.
