About Robert: Robert Keeling is a partner at Sidley Austin LLP whose practice focuses on electronic discovery, information governance, and data disposition matters. Robert is the co-chair of Sidley’s E-Discovery Task Force. He possesses significant experience with the technology-assisted review, predictive coding, and other applications that can enable clients to significantly reduce e-discovery costs while maintaining the defensibility of the review. For clients across a range of industries, he: • Counsels on how to efficiently and effectively manage e-discovery risks and obligations; • Assists companies to develop defensible e-discovery policies and procedures; • Advises clients on records retention and information governance issues; and • Guides clients through all phases of discovery and data management. Robert represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation and conducts internal investigations in the U.S. and throughout the world. Robert also has substantial experience responding to requests from a variety of government agencies, including the United States Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s Offices, and the Office of Inspector General at HHS. He also regularly conducts internal investigations at large, multinational corporations, where clients benefit from the unique insights and perspective his skill set offers. Robert is a published author and frequent speaker on a range of ediscovery and information government issues. He has also given ediscovery-related lectures at Harvard Law School, the University of Virginia School of Law, Vanderbilt University Law School, and Fordham University School of Law.
